Amano shrimp with platies?

I have 6 platies in a 20 gallon tank. I need these questions answered
1. Can i keep amano shrimp with platies
2. If not amanos, which shrimp does good with holding off algae and compatible with platies
3. How many should i keep in my 20 GALLON tank?
4. How many do I add at a time to not damage my water quality

Shrimp are very low bioload.


I don't know this for certain, but I believe that amano shrimp and platies get along just fine. I know that platies are very good community fish and amano won't be a problem with most community fish. So, I think its all good, but would wait for confirmation from others.


BUT... at the same time, you could add a bunch of amano (6 or so) easily without a problem in terms of bioload. Just make sure there's enough food for them.
