Amano shrimp acting strange

Hi!

Have had my tropical tank for 6 months now. I keep amanos in here as well as a few fish. I have noticed tonight that he is acting really strange. He shed his shell this morning but he is sort of lay around twitching and lying on his side/back. Is he going to die? ☹☹ he will get up every now and again and swim really fast around the tank but then lies down again twitching all his legs. TIA x

How big is the tank? What are the water parameters? What is the fish you added into the tank? It could be that the fish injured the shrimp.

Could be toxic shock from something (chemical - spray/ soap?) Getting into the tank. Do a large water change to remove most of the toxin.

Like other said do 75% water change daily. It might be toxic or aggresive tank mate. Whats your water parameters?

I think this was taken care of on another thread, the shrimp died-possibly from insecticides from a new plant
