Please help! The light on my Tetra 60 tank has died :shout: , from previous experience I thought I'd check the starter before buying a new tube.....only after much un-screwing and swearing [and Dp's trying to eat dropped screws  ], it doesn't appear to have one!!!!! Should I just buy a new tube and hope it works? The tube WILL flicker when you turn it on at the switch, but then dies.

Any advice please? I do have a seperate box thingy that I can run a light off if I need to....but not sure what to do!!!!!!

[Oh God....I sound so female!!!!!!!]

It may not have a starter. Try a new tube, they dont cost a lot and you can return it if it isnt the tube.

Although the fact that it flickers, could be theres a starter in there you just didnt find it.

Thank you, my little nearly qualified leccy     I've got to work all weekend, so have a clip on light on there atm....just got to find the time to get out and get a tube.......

Much thanks
