I've finally decided what fish I'm after, just want to make sure I'm not over stocking and if I can afford to up the numbers of the fish I want. I have a 90l/23 gallon tank. I'm planning on having . . .

  • Leopard cory's x 3
  • Neon tetra x 6
  • Glass catfish x 3
  • Rummy nose tetra x 5
  • Bumble bee shrimp x 4
  • Apple snails x 3

Is this too much for a 90l and can I up the numbers of my cory/glass cat fish? I know these guys like to be in larger numbers.

personally, i dont count shrimp and snails. But take note of reproduction!
Id also drop the glass catfish, never been a fan but each to their own! id rather add another 2 cory instead, watching 5 of those little guys would be much more fun :)

Id also be inclined to make it 7 neon tetra, dont ask me why but i always think shoals look more natural in odd numbers, seems....peaceful (yeah im just weird)

Nope, seems fine to me cept for those glass catfish. If it were me I'd drop them and get more tetras. Or you could drop one of the tetra groups and get more glass catfish but I don't reccomend this

I would also remove the glass cats. They need more room than your tank can give, I think. They are also very shy and sensitive.

You should also add more corydoras.

Glass cats are very nice but need to be in schools of 6 +

The don't really move around as much but school very nice ( all in sync facing the same direction )

haha all my shoals are in odd numbers!

As with the others, I'd drop the glass catfish, and up the cories and rummynose to 6 each (or 7 if you prefer to be odd ;) )

More corydoras! glass catfish are happier in a 50 gallon tank as I have seen in my friends house and he had 25 of those guys in there,

Thanks guys I think I will drop the glass catfish, they do need to be in larger numbers and my tanks just not big enough with everything else I have in there. I'll up my numbers of the other fish I want, maybe get some of those pygmy catfish instead, those things are cute!

Haha and I will be making them all odd numbers :p
