how are they keeping them in aquariums? I thought they were adapted to live in very deep water
are they able to adapt to living in less water pressure, is that healthy for them?

I understood the articles to say some Japanese aquarium has a few. I didn’t read the details.

Very sad that they’re deemed “worlds ugliest fish”. They’re only like that because we make them that way.
