Has anyone seen the aquaria at Alton Towers? I went to the park last week but did not get time to look (too many big rides) but am going again in September when the kids are back at school so will probably get to go again.

Yes, I've seen it degsod, I went about a month ago.

It wasnt as big as I was expecting but they have a great range of wierd and wonderful fish from seahorses, rays, small sharks and many different marine species.

It only takes 5 mins to walk through, unless like me you stop at each tank for 5 mins

Hehe will deffo go then and have a look in September, might go to the water park as well!!!!

Aren't there many public aquariums in england?

Depends on what you mean by Public Aquariums, I went to the aquarium in Liverpool Museum a couple of weeks ago which was good. That is free of charge, but the likes of Alton Towers, Blue Planet etc charge an entrance fee.

The idea of going to Alton Towers to see an aquarium is perverse to say the least ...

There are worthwhile public aquariums all over the country ... and the ZSL is building a huge one somewhere in the docklands London.

I know, that's why I did not look last week when I was there, I was too busy on all the rides. But if it only take 30 mins I might as well have a look in September when I go again as it should be quiter with the kids back at school. I might stay over at the Hotel, has any one stayed there?
