Already want a new tank!

It is worth checking ebay for tanks, there's plenty about and I know of a few people who've had real bargains off there.
Including me!

I got 2 of my tanks from eBay. Also, the one LiQuOrIcE is talking about is on there, but new.

:)

shhhhhhhhhuuuusssshhh

Im just after the cabinet now, emailed the chap as ive looked at his feedback and it apears he sells them all the time!

Well, good news is......

48 x 18 x 12 in Pets smart is £49.99 for the tank!

I dont want the cabinet as i really made my mind up that im getting that pine one!

Why not go for one of the larger Juwel tanks such as a Rio 300? This tank is approxamately 80 us gallons and with is 48" length and 20" width and heights leaves plenty of room for many fish choices, i believe you can pick them up new for around £350 with everything included.

Main reason is that that pine cabinet will look the business in my front room matching other things. I think the juwel ones are a little plain in the cabinet area (Just My Opinion).

a rio 300 for £350? is that just the tank and bits or cabinet aswell?

seems cheap

Cheers for that qixer, i remembered that when i bought my 300 without stand many years ago is was around £300, i had no idea they charged such stupid prices for a chip board stand! These days i either have my tanks made for me or buy them second hand and i build my own stands and racks.

Right,

Im definately getting a bigger tank now! :D

Its going to be 48 x 18 x 12

Can someone advise / recommend what i need.

My current setup is;

30 x 15 x 12 tank
Fluval 3+ filter
Visitherm heater.

Im guessing i can use the heater still as its a powerfull / bigger one.
Ill need a new filter, the fluval 4 plus is for 4ft tanks, but if anyone can suggest a better one (money permitting id be greatful!)

Ill get all the gravel, clean it and clean it and clean it before it goes in.

Cheers

unfortunately, i dont have enough room or experience yet (IMO) to keep 2, & along with the fact i wanted a bigger tank for the angels, i also hear that its easier to look after a bigger tank, keep good parameters etc.

Id love to keep it, but i think the girlfriends parents may have it.

Ahh good backup plan. It is real handy having multiple baskets to keep your eggs...erm fish in :D IE always a supply of mature tank material, a disease wont wipe out your whole hobby, chance to keep species through management of tank inhabitants and a chance for tank variety, IE keep one gravel, one sand etc.

Sorry.... am I talking you into an argument with your GF? ;)
