Dont know if it is connected , however some of our fish seem to have white spot.

This morning found one platy dead, the white mollies look a little tired and dont look to good.

Waiting to get new tank then seperating the gold fish asap, i know it probably has nothing to do with that but would prefer to get it done.

any ideas

Whitespot looks like the fish has been sprinkled in salt.
You will need to treat the whole tank.
Raise temp to 30 and increase aeration and add the whitespot med.
Don't forget to remove the black carbon from the filter if you use it.

Morning,

Took out black sponge out of filter, heater is set to 28 and seperate thermometer confirms this this, added green white spot medicine, and added air pump.

They seem more active and healthier this morning, with less white spot.

BUT.
found one guppy dead, so that is 2 in tow days.

Thinking of getting a water test kit to check the water, what do i have to consider.
