Allpondsolutions External Filters ?

Edited Reply

Found a link to those, at first i assumed the link was showing the correct image, this image matched the aps 2000ef, alas it was wrong

But, i've found that sunsun or sun sun filters are the same as the aps (allpondsolutions)

Made in china, so i guess aps and sunsun are imported from the same manufacturuer

Will continue to search for reviews images though elaine

Ah, not a huge surprise. Good info Tony !

Hiya's,

Sorry to bring back an old post ....

The younger of my two 2000EF's had a problem

It would start and pump from anywhere from 30secs from cold to approx two minutes

The top would feel fairly warm to the touch, and air continually being in the pipes, ohh and sounded real rough

Anyways after contacting aps aka Mike, i had to send the whole pump top assembly except the uv tube/glass cover etc

He sent it back with a nice new impeller in, alas still the same problems

After four days on and off losing my temper i emailed again and he sent me a new cannister and top

Working fine :)

Due to work shifts etc it took time to sort, but in reality adding postal days up the problem was resolved in 5 yes five days

So a big pat on the back to Mike at aps, a nice gent who really went the extra mile to sort the problem, and the service was second to non :) Really nice to know companies like this still exist in the UK

PS: after new parts were running i took apart the faulty unit and found the problem :) ..............

The uv/stator for the pump are linked and kinda like a sealed unit, where the power cord enters these it is made waterproof with the use of a kind of black epoxy (no flex in it at all its solid lol)
Just around the sealing black epoxy stuff was an air bubble in the black stuff, i assume under the water pressure from the large tank above this thin skinned hard bubble popped, after testing with some meters etc i found an amount of water was getting into the stator area so that would mean into the mains power lol

If i can be sure everythings all dried out i may try some other waterproofing to see if it will work

But in this case i summise as the seal was injected in to make it watertight over the curing process an air bubble did its thing and rose almost to the surface but not enough as to be really visible, then over time/water pressure/vibration it caused a leak (makes sense to me anyways hehe)

So though a late post, if anyone should develop a fault this is how i contacted them (swift replies too) [email protected]
