I do have many surge protectors. And truly most of the betta tanks don't have anything plugged in all the time. The spawning tanks have heaters, filters, and lights, as do the rest of the big tanks, but other than that, they do not all have reasons to be plugged in. If you look at the shelf, you'll see many plugs that are just hanging.
