Ive found a post that you are or were lucky owner of Orca Mt50 tank. Can you help me out with the below then?:

I'm about to purchase Orca Mt50 tank. But am a bit concern about operating the hood/lid. Can it be easily removed and just sit on top? I need to place the tank in the fireplace and there is limited space for operation over the tank and around it. Just a frontal access. I cannot slid the lid back and forth or turned over around the rear hinge. neither can I slid it & turned over to hang vertically on the rear wall outside the aquarium....I'd have to take it off every time I'd need to do some maintenace job. Is that easy/possible?
