Hello I have a question and I want to see if anyone can help me. I changed my fish water and this never happens to me but I changed their water and I added new rocks and a new little house, they all have been in the corner since I changed it and I thought it was stress so I put a stress cote. They have their normal temperature that they always have so i don’t know what causing them to be in the corner, I’m not sure if it’s because of the new rocks. I need advice please ;(

It’s 10 gallons, I have like 10 fishes, it’s been set up for a couple of Months and when I first got it I let it run 24 hours before putting the fish in the tank. It’s rocks from pet smart.

Did you put decloranator in the new water before you added it to the tank? Did you thoroughly wash the new rock and decor before adding them?
What is your ph, nitrate, nitrite, and ammonia?
Yes I did put some. Yes I washed the rocks before puttin I’m the tank. And I’m on my way to petsmart to test their water

What kind of fish do you have?
Do you know the PH, GH, and KH of your water? You can typically find this on your water company's website.

Stresscoat is not good for fish because it has Aloe in it which can damage the fish's gills.

They are tropical fish, it’s what I normally put and nothing ever happened to them. And I’m on my way to petsmart to test the water

The ones up top look like guppies to me can’t tell about the bigger one below them. What do you think?

This sort of reaction immediately following a water change usually suggests something toxic in the water that the fish are trying to escape from. Forgetting the conditioner can do this, but the OP says he used it. Adding some chemical substance/additive can do this...water clarifiers usually do, but other substances can esp if overdosed. Rapid water parameter/condition changes, such as ammonia, nitrite, high nmitrate, temperature, GH, pH...without numbers hard to say.

By looking at your pictures it looks like you have 2 Albino rainbow sharks (or 1 might be a reflection) and about 8 guppies. The Rainbow sharks need at least a 50 gallon and if you do have 2 of them they should not be kept in pairs because of aggression but rather in groups of 5 or more or alone.

The stress coat does not have an immediate negative affect on the fish but will over time.

If it were me I would try rehoming the Albino shark, upgrading to a larger tank, or returning it to the store because it will grow to 6 inches and a 10 gallon is too small for it.
That tank is just for right now, I’m going to buy a way bigger tank later on because I want bigger fishes. It’s a good size for right now, he isn’t that big atm. But obviously when he’s bigger will get changed to another tank :)

How soon is "soon".

That shark will get bigger faster than you think. As long as you plan to upgrade real soon, there is no issue.

As for the fish in the corner, it could be because there is new stuff and they are scared.
