Algea problem

ok, i know it is a really stupid question but i gotta ask anyway.

when i scrub the algea off the glass in my aquarium do i do it before i take the water out for my water change or do i have to take the water out far enough down to scrub it? ok, where is the dumb blond smiley

I do it before so it goes out with the water.

i keep my tank pretty full and i empty out some first then scrape then empty the rest. That way i dont make the big mess and i will be allowed to live in the house for at least another day
