Algea On Plants....

If you can do it without disturbing the tank: wipe them with a cloth

Alternatively: remove them periodically and wipe them clean and replace

Please tell me there is an easier way!

Buy a few plecs :D mine are always sucking my plants

I have a jar full of snails. When a plant is hopelessly algae-d and needs cleaning I drop it in the jar. A few days later it's spotless.

Note: Does not work on plants snails eat. :)

lol the jar full of snails sounds like a good idea!!! Back when I had plastic plants I could NOT get it off. Its so yucky!!! Good luck!

I'm also using a blue marine light, would this produce more algea???
Lights are on for only 7 hours a day...

The brown algae is unlikely to be a product of too much light. More likely it's down to exess organic compunds within your water (probably silicates)
