I was wondering if you can grow algae like you know cualtivate it. I know this is a silly quesrtion :p but i need to know if i can. If so can someone please explan how to grow it eg. wether it needs air
or fish or anything filters or air pump????

Really confused -_-

The best thing for algea is warm, still water and an abundance of phosphurace. This can come from fertiliser (not too sure how you get this into the tank.... :D )
but is also a by-product of waste - be it fish, rotting food or rotting plants.

Either way, I think if you leave tank water in sunlight and don't change it you'll get some.

Wouldn't reccomend you leave your fish in there at the same time though! :p

Algae needs the same things as aquatic plants - nitrates, light. The easiest way to cultivate algae is to take an old jamjar, fill it with water and keep it on a windowsill where it will get plenty of sunlight. Put some old leaves into it to rot and watch the algae grow........

In a week or so you should have lots :)
