Algae Problems

IMO reduce you feedings down to once a day for a while to help reduce the algae problems. You have to remember overfeeding can cause many problems as all the food you put into the tank remains in the tank as either fish waste or uneaten! Fish have been know to easily survive a week or more without food so once a day ain't gonig to harm them at all!

Also use a syphoning tube when you do a water change to syphon all the algae off the sand bed etc!

okay, thanks. wont the siphon take the sand to though?

Dont actually place the syphoning tube into the sand but about 1cm or so away, this way it will stir the sand and pick up any particles on the top but should't actually get the sand itself!
