Hey,
Simply, my tank is full of algae which is rapidly spreading! I have tryed water changes and removing it with a brush but it doesnt seem to stop it. The algae is a dark green colour which is spreading and is covering the gravel, wood and fake plants that are in the tank. It doesnt seem to be on the glass.
So, how can i remove or stop the spread of this algae?
Thanks,
Danny

use this to identify what type of algae you have.

Thankyou baron von bubba :)
The algae is blue-green algae and i am having a total blackout of the tank for 4 days followed by a 50% water change :)
Anything else i need to do?
The lights are on about 8 hours a day.
Cheers guys.

what it says on that site dude. :0)

i had a bit when i first set up,
i did a blackout and added a powerhead for the flow, it did start to come back along the area between the front of the substrate and the glass, i used some insulating tape along this bit of glass to keep light away from this part.
