I use a washing up brush for the tough stuff.....scrubbity scrubbity scrub...also good for bracing, bogwood and rocks!

And no, not the one I do the actual washing up with!!!

Tie a bit of string around the 2 magnets. That way at least if it does fall off in the tank you can just pull it up. I bought one of these @ the weekend and it works very well
