I recently bought a new tank. I put my algae eater from my other tank in the new one. Since there was not much algae (I did put one of the ornaments in from the old tank in, so he has some), I have been putting "veggie wafers" in it. He eats them, and seems to like them. However, my three corys also eat them. Recently, I have noticed that the corys have been getting them before the algae eater can get to them (he mostly eats at night). The package says that you should feed no more than one a day. Is that only if there is one fish in the tank that will eat them? What should I do?

the package prolly says to only feed one a day because there is so much roughage in them, its not enough nutrition for your fish. By algae eater im not sure what fish your talking about, but you can try feeding them cucumbers. Just buy these suction cup veggie clips at the pet store and attach your cucumber to the side of your tank. Almost every type of fish will eat it.

Try breaking the tabs in half if you're worried about feeding too much. Put one half in at feeding time and the other half in 10 mins after lights out for the algae eater

yep i agree with the cucumber idea i have found that other fish will try and eat them and they go into a sort of mush at the bottom that soon goes but the one reason i think they might not want you to add more than one a day is because it perhaps encourages alge gowth in the aquarium as i think it might have done in mine tho im not shure it did its more of a hunch.
