hi everyone.

I have set up a small 2.6 gallon tank which I am using to rear my babies. It has been cycling for a while but ready now and I am introducing my babies, 3 per day.

At the moment I do not have an algae problem as tank is newish, but realise that eventually I will.

Do you have any suggestions as to what fish I can introduce that likes a small tank and will not grow too big :) , WON'T EAT my babies :-( but does help to clean algae :D ???

Thanks :p

2.5 gallon is very small for any algae eater. If you keep fry in it then it doesn't leave much room for anything else.

Ottos like to be with their own sort - at least 3-4 of them. Plecs get too big, even a bristlenose would get too big for that size.

I suggest that the best solution to get rid of algae (if and when you get any) is clean it yourself.

Yeah your best bet is just to clean it. ;) A razor blade gets the job done nice, but watch out for the corners you dont want to cut the cauking.

i would add an ansistrus plec the grow small i have one stopped growing about the size of your big finger.
