Algae And The 3 Day Blackout

I have greenspot algae and brown hair algae taking over my tank, i was curious about two things:

1) Will the 3 day blackout hopefully wipe out the gsa and brown hair algae, or does it only work for bba?

2) Will a SAE eat the hair algae that is growing like a net on my plants? I know it wont touch the gsa, but what about the brown hair algae?

A blackout is unlikely to help you with GSA or BBA. It can be effective against BGA (cyanobacteria) and green water.

SAE's have been known to eat BBA, but I think it's a bit hit and miss.
