Albino Ghost?

I recently came across something called a "albino ghost". It looks very much like a normal BGKF, but the color is peach cream and the eyes are oddly black, meaning it's not an albino?

Has anyone seen such a fish before? And is care different from that of BGKF? Like, more sensitivity towards light, less hardy, etc?

Definantly NOT a clown or royal. The shape is, as I said, exactly the shape of normal BGKFs, and I've personally seen albino CKs so I can attend to.

Possibly a new species or now BGKFs are being commercially bred?

i can only think of an albino featherfin/reticulate knife. i've never seen an albino black ghost, alba, or zebra knife before though

Ive also seen fish labelled as albino ghost knife fish, with the same description in my lfs.

Do you have a picture? If it is truly A. albifrons, then because you said that it has black eyes, it could just be a man made strain (like gold severums). If it is not this species, I am truly stumped. I initially agreed with Straydum, but you said it had black eyes, which means it couldn't be albino. I would guess it is simply a color strain of some knife fish.

A "normal" knife fish? What is a "normal" knife fish? There are many different species ranging from under a foot to 3ft+. You also said that the site is rigged. Could you give us the URL? That would help a ton.

try this - certainly looks like an albino BGK........for all its bluryness!

Yeh, the general body shape is of a black ghost. Its not albino if you say it has black eyes. It could be a leusistic varient which have black eyes, or a very rare piebald sport. I would buy it if you have the space and can look after it properly, it looks to be quite unique if its a black ghost.
It could however be a new species of knifefish, a lot are being described at the moment so it could be a first import.
