I have got two albino cory's. I was just wondered what else to feed them other then sinking wafers and brine shrimp.

I feed mine tetra granules or mini granules they love, flakes, defrosted bbs, bloodworm & daphnia,& a cooked de-shelled pea once a week.

You might be able to answer my question. I have three albino corys. I think they are adorable! My concern is that my two mollys seem to be food hogs. I am afraid the corys aren't getting enough to eat. Do you think I am being overly protective? I haven't lost any of them.

how large are you tanks?

you each need to buy more cories - - cories are a shoaling fish and are happiest in groups of 6+ !!! if you really want their personalities to develop and show, you need to buy more fish. otherwise you will never fully enjoy them and they will not be as happy as they could be

It is only a 16 gallon tank. I have three corys and they usually hang together. I haven't lost any, but was worried that weren't getting as much as they need. I don't find any leftover food at the bottom but I don't want it to remain in there. I would rather they get their's when I feed them not later.

yes, they hang together because they are trying to shoal. if you want happy fish you would consider getting at least 3 more

Okay then! I didn't want to get too many. I look into that when I get back from vacation so I can watch my tank.

sounds good! :hyper: you will really be able to see their personalities and community develop - - it is really something to see!

Albinos are cute,i only have 3 but have loads of other types has well,so they all shoal together. :)

Obviously they would be better in a larger shoal, but unless you have good filtration adding another 3 on top of the stock (albinos can grow to 3 inches)plus your 2 mollies (can grow to 4 inches depending what type) could be overload...

Has to the feeding,i found this with my platies pinching food,so i use to feed the sinking wafers after lights out,and has cories are normally more active at night are more likely to eat them,or distract the mollies with flakes, and if you invest in a turkey baster feed the cories by putting food straight to the bottom of the tank, especially with brine shrimp etc.

Mine adore mini granules, these sink straight down anyway,so flakes for mollies, mini granules for cories :)

Good luck :good:

try sinking catfish pellets for corries; distract the mollies with flakes and add pellets, preferably just before bedtime

thanks to this site, I have figured out to distract the mollies right before bedtime as you stated. That works well. I was also concerned about the load. I plan on waiting and increasing the filtering. I will see how confident I am in it. I might try adding one at a time and see how the load goes. If I feel like it isn't going to work I would be willing to consider a cory tank. I really do think they are adorable!
