i nearly bought 2 the other day but didnt due to sheer lack of know how with them i really like these fish so can some one educate me please

-Scientific Name: Corydoras aeneus
-Common Names (you will see them as): Albino Corydoras, Bronze Catfish, Bronze Corydoras

*Note* albino is just a variation in the bronze cory

-Bottom feeder active throughout the day
-Potential Size: Male: 2.5" (6cm), Female: 3" (8cm)
-pH: 6.0-8.0
-Temperature: 72-81F (22-27C)
-Hardness: 5-19 dH (50-190 ppm) around 12 dH (120 ppm) is ideal

-They are peaceful and can be kept with most fish around their own size. Can be with many smaller species with no harm, larger fish may see it as a snack.

Hi,

Albino corys can also be peppered, i've seen sterbai albinos too but they still had the yellow fins. Generally corys all need similar care and the biggest ones only grow 3.5 inches so no worrys about accidentally buying a monster fish. Go get some you know you wanna. Get at least 3 as they like to live in groups, the more the merrier.

Emma :)

true, but i have only seen the bronze cory be albino. i guess i'm not special when it comes to lfs' actually having variety  . but yes they can be peppered also though i hear that albino peppered cories are becoming rarer in the market and are being replaced by the albino bronze cory. i don't know. maybe each ot their own.

like they said, get groups of 3 or more and get some. you won't be disappointed!!!

Where did you find albino Sterbai corys? I've wanted for my little sterbai group but never seen, only ever seen C. Aeneus albino's.

as i said in my last post, the albino peppered cories are becoming rare in the trade. you will find that albino cories are now C. aeneus albinos. you could look at ebay and aquabid for them if you want. though i don't know if you will find them there either.

Hi,

I haven't seen any albino sterbai for a couple of years, though there were some on www.aquarist-classifieds.co.uk a while ago.

Emma :D

thanx for all the help
