Hi

I had 2 bronze corydora and read that better to be kept in groups, so yesterday I went and bought 3 more bronze corydora and 3 albino corydora....the albino ones are just great...they are flying about all over the tank...the bronze ones seem very shy and not as outgoing as the albino's....any reason for this? Or are the bronze a more shy breed?

Hi Drewry

Thanks for the reply...well they are all settling down now, and have put some life back into my tank...I am beginning to think they are one of my favourite fish....very lively and such characters!

hi Debbie
they certainly are little characters i could watch mine for hours and they always make me laugh
as long as uve got hideing places for them and give them a good verid diet and regular water changes you wont go far wrong with them :good:

I have a mix of peppered corys and albino ones. The albino's are just crazy, they never stop zooming around the tank, they only come down to the bottom when they're getting fed! The peppered ones are far more reserved, they still move around most of the time, but nowhere near as energetic.

I hope you don't mind me adding that not all albino are bronze. Bronze/C. aeneus, peppers/C. paleatus, C. sterbai and pandas all are available as albinos.

I am assuming that drewery is familiar with the op or the lps and so is sure that the albinos in this case are bronze albinos. They are the most freqent albinos in the lps's but not the only ones.

I have found that the source of the fish can influence how they behave also--as well as the trip from the source to your tank. Aquarium bred fish are often more personable at first than wild caught or farm bred. But on the other hand, wc are often more adaptable to varying conditions.

Albinos are not wild caught, so they are more likely to be aquarium bred and used to aquarium conditions, feeding etc.

Albino's and Bronze Corydoras won't school as good as with ther own, they are both different. You will see the best of your Corys at night
