My cories havn't spawned for me in a while and I was expecting it to happen pretty soon and it did today. Most of the snails have retreated back into thier shells as its a bit hectic in the tank with 7 cories whizzing about. I got a vid and although its dark and a rubbish video, at the end you can see the female taking the sperm and filling up her pectoral fins with eggs.

Click HERE to see the vid although it might not be approved yet.
And here are some pics:

I havn't decided whether to raise a couple  Will probably just leave the eggs to be eaten. :(

wow congratulations! :hyper: that video was amazing, ive seen my trilineatus do that quite a few times but that was alot more hectic! great pics of the eggs, really sharp :good:

Thanks geo7x, I've isolated ten in a net. I love raising them they are so cute.

There are now hundreds of eggs deposited all over the tank, I wouldn't be surprised if a good few end up hatching into the tank but there is no way they will survive being eaten. I have too many bottom dwellers. Kinda feel guilty leaving the rest of the eggs. A fat neon was plucking some off the glass earlier. I'd rather they were eaten today than later on.

I shall keep you posted on the ten eggs. :)

Fantastic News Lynz.

 well i guess theres different ways of doing it!

Again, fantastic pictures, glad to hear it's going ok so far. Those are very good examples of "dud eggs" very useful for people who are confused :good:

Some have but they were spread all over the place so I think some will hatch into the tank. :/

Thos are great pics of the eggs. Very clear. Good luck, I'm looking forward to some pics of your babies once they hatch. Bet they'll be hard to spot being albino's. I love your big momma. She's gorgeous.

:D

 Aaaw, congrats. It could take up to 24 hours for them all to hatch. Every time I've collected cory eggs from either the C. Aeueus, Panda or Trilineatus, it took nearly a whole day for them all to hatch. Great pic. He must be so tiny.

Good luck with the rest.

:D
