Got a school of 6 today, Googled them and not 100% sure what they are. They sem to be an albino version of the head and tail light tetra. Correct? Anything special they need?

BUMP. Goodness, this has been on for about 15 hours and no reply... Not even to say 'I have no idea'. Heres the best pic. They're circled.

Beacon fish and Head-and-Tail-lights are the alternative common names for Hemigrammus ocellifer according to a book I have that was printed in 1976 :p .

The book also says that the males "have an unusual characteristic in that the leading rays of the anal fin develop a hook which catches in nets when the fish is caught. Care should be exercised when detaching the fish, as the fin and even the body could be torn."

Right, thankee :) I'll just have to be careful if I'm netting them then... I'll probably make one that scoops them up in some water.
