Got a school of 6 today, Googled them and not 100% sure what they are. They sem to be an albino version of the head and tail light tetra. Correct? Anything special they need?
Beacon fish and Head-and-Tail-lights are the alternative common names for Hemigrammus ocellifer according to a book I have that was printed in 1976 .
The book also says that the males "have an unusual characteristic in that the leading rays of the anal fin develop a hook which catches in nets when the fish is caught. Care should be exercised when detaching the fish, as the fin and even the body could be torn."
