Albinism in Dwarf Hamsters

If the remaining Albino baby makes it, I'm blaming myself entirely in all cases but the runt.

But there's still 3 babies in the nest. Two Agouti, one Albino. All cute, fat, and well-tended by their mother.

Honestly, don't do that. Albino animals are often a lot weaker than their siblings, and are quite likely to be born with malfunctions already ... I think the dry skin is a sign of them not being perfectly healthy, mother will have noticed that too. She however, can actually sence the difference in weakness as well. It sounds likely to me that all that died were weakened and the one that's still alive is simply in good enough condition for her to not give up on her young yet.

Three babies left still. All of which have skin problems, but they're fat and healthy, and their skin is a lot healthier overall than the ones that died. They're just losing hair. It's like it's being plucked off of them more than anything, because the skin isn't dry at all like it was in the babies that died.

I suspected mites, but then the mother would be losing hair, too, wouldn't she? But I can't treat regardless, as they're still nursing, and to treat would be to change their scent, and they'd all die, anyway.
