Airstones

I just did a water change in my Betta tank and the airstone crumbled away so i am left wit no air stone, I will try to get one soon. But first a few questions, What is the best type of air stone?? I saw mist airstones are they any good??? or is the normal better???

From what I've heard the wooden kind are the best.

I don't use airstone for my betta because I have a filter but i've heard wood is the best for airstones.

Well I dont have a filter. Even though i have no ilter do i still need an air pump because i read somewere that I dont?

You don't really need an air pump as bettas have labrynth (I have no idea how to spell it so don't tell me) organs.

How could I have forgotten betta have labryinth gills! ! Yeah, you do not need an airstone for your betta. He breath the air that we breath: oxygen.
