Air Stones

hi all, iv'e just set up an aquarium which has been given to me its a juwel rio 125 which comes with a built in heater and filter but no air stone! so what i need to know is do i need an air stone as i already have fish in it.

Air atones aren't absolutely necessary, they only provide a small amount of oxygen through
surface agitation. The best way to increase oxygen is to create a lot of surface agitation
with your filter output ( point the spout thing on the filter towards the surface)

Yeah, they also look nice and my goldfish like to swim through them

my mollies like to swim through them its like they're walkin on hot coal they speed up as they go through lol an then slow down at the end
