i am becoming almost obsessive about sizzling the aips in my tank, it's not like i have a major problem with them just that each time i spot one and it's only like i ever see 1 or 2 at a time, i want to send it to  heaven, now i'm wondering do i really need to be so keen on destruction, because i was thinking the other day that if i had some growing at the back of my LR i would never even know they were there and so wouldn't be getting worked up about it, just how bad are these things in reality and what negative effect will they have on a tank apart from spreading. excuse me gotta go the iron is hot :S

those two blighters are no more but i just saw something on my front glass that looks like a small anemone, its very difficult to see from the angle of vision that i have but it appears light brown with lots of tentacles similar to aiptasia, do these buggers grow on glass too? and it wasn't there before i took the rocks out for soldering, can these things move, i will try for a pic but it's going to be near impossible i think.
edit**
its definately aiptasia, got a better pic than i expected so i could see it more clearly

Singly there not really a huge problem the main issues are they can sting fish and coral if they get big enough and also 1 can spray spores into your tank if it feels threatened and you can end up with hundreds. Doesn't happen often but it does happen.
