Well, I got him, the crown I bid for on aquabid. He is so beautiful. I think I'm going to call him Loki, because he looks like a devilish little trickster. Now, to find out how shipping fish from Thailand to the U.S. works. *is a little scared*

Has anyone else ever had a fish shipped to the U.S. through aquabid? How much was the shipping from the transhipper? I'm completely unfamiliar with how the transaction works from here, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think that shipping from the trans shipper to you is fairly costly and something a lot of people do not realise or take into consideration.
However, I'd very much be interested to know what you end up paying (if you don't mind telling us).

Poor thing he has a long trip to his owner, that's the part i don't agree with much, but at the end of the day it happens all the time, lfs import fish so can't complain.

Yeah, I would prefer he was at least in the U.S. I hope he shows up okay. I am aware that transhippers are really expensive. I'm hoping it won't be more than $35.00.

Don't have him yet, in fact, I JUST won the bid on him. I'm already in love, though. I will be really disappointed if something happens to him. The way he's photographed, he looks like he's a very curious little thing. I love the black on his head and the way it shades down to just a touch of blue, and his rays are so pointy...

The shipment from thailand to USA is 5.00. Then Sam TAX .60 cents. 2.00 handling the betta. insulated box 5.00. express mail 25.00 to 30.00. Add your betta 15.00. So total will be 52.60 per betta. Welcome to AQUABID.
I just paid 48.00 to the transhipper at Linda to ship 5 bettas from thailand.

Don't forget it just a photogenic angle picture taken. LOL It will look slightly different than the picture. LOL Bigger.

I figure he will look different. The seller is going to make him look as good as possible in order to sell him, right? I still think he's going to be pretty, though. Plus, sometimes the camera doesn't do them justice. I know I haven't been able to get a pic of my other bettas that does them justice. I need to try again this weekend, though, so I can post them on here.

Paypal. Did you get a sibling female to go with him? Get it and the shipping just cost 2.60 extra. Besides, you can get some more so the shipping will be cheaper.
