Ahhh Help Me Please!

i just got a khuli loach and hes laying on his side a lot. He will swim around noramlly and then go up on a leaf or the gravel and just lay there, sometimes on his side.. is he ok?? i just got him today so im not sure if its just shock.

Hi,

Could be sue to new tank. How long did you climatise him for before adding him to your tank and how do you do it ?

I normally leave em in the bag for an hour while adding my water to the bag every 10 mins, but leaving the bag floating in my water. Then net them out, leave lights off and dont feed for 24 hours....

Are all your stats normal ?

Loaches lie on their side when resting, quite a lot of people think there dead/ sick, but this is natural behaviour! I think they are a great fish the way they act although if you haven't read it then it can be scary.

Another question I have for you is, do you only have one of them? They really should be in groups of at least four. Being on your own can sometimes lead to lazy behaviors .

it may be just resting leave it and keep an eye on it it should be fine

This is quiete normal! They are just lazy.. but keep an eye on him anyway just incase anything developes!
They are lovely fish, especially in groups! Real charecters.
