Are you sure they are pure tri macs? You see hardly any now-a-days Very rare fish.

As for the breeding, I would have used a divider, the fish can still breed through it and not get killed if it all goes wrong. Though if it is working now, you may be in luck.

EDIT: Looked confusing way I worded it before. Congrats with the pair, hopefully eggs soon. Then expect a whole new level of aggression

It is possible that they are flowerhorns, however I havn't seen many trimacs so someone that knows will be able to clear the issue up. Sadly as Jayjay said it is becomming the norm for shops to pass off flowerhorns as trimacs.

I know a few people with pure trimacs; I'd say the ones pictured in this thread are hybrids.
