Agression

Just out of curiosity, how old is he? Some vets have these crazy ideas that they need to be a year old before nuetering - bad idea! All of their negative behavior patterns are established by then. Of course, if he is just a weanling, I can see the reason for the wait.

O_O You should get a different vet; not only does waiting that long allow negative behavior patterns like agression, roaming, and territory marking to become established, but it increases the chance of prostate problems later in life. Most good vets will nueter at 6 months to 1 year
 I think you've been misguided, or he is a very old fashioned vet. I'm in vet tech school right now and every text book says to do it before one year of age.

i agree with RandomWiktor, your vet is talking out of his arse.. they can get snipped from 6 months.. and the younger he is the better. from over a year there is not much point.
do you have a picture of the pup.. would be cute to see?! :)

Every vet that I've been too has told me that animals should be neutered before 1 year of age. Some vets even do it as young as 2 months. I work at a Humane Society and that's how young all the animals have to be before they get neutered or spayed. It does lower aggression and it's better for his health.

He is a beautiful dog. I hope you can help him before he bites somebody, it's not his fault. I had two aggressive dogs but they were smallish so I kept them on a lead. My dogs were terriers and they can be a bit snappy but I like them. :)
