Hi, I have 3 platies, 1 male, 2 females. They're the only fish in the tank, and have been in there for 2 weeks now.
One of the females is very aggresive towards the other 2 platies, especially at feeding times. Sometimes the three of them swim around together, and all appear to get on ok. But when this female gets aggressive it's really not great in there at all! The male and the other female swim around together most of the time, so perhaps this aggresive one is jealous or lonely... not sure if fish get jealous
Anyway, I'm not sure what to do about this, but I'd like to fix this situation as I think she really stresses the other 2 fish, to the point where the male doesn't seem to feed very much now. Would more fish in the tank help with this, even if they're another species - I was thinking of getting 5/6 black neons. I had also thought about getting another female platy maybe, though I would rather focus on different species of fish, but I will get another if that would help.
Both females are pregnant btw, if that makes any difference.
Any ideas much appreciated
