I am currently shutting my reef tank down, and selling most of the livestock, but want to keep my clown, cleaner shrimp and scooter blenny. I have an Orca 450 which I can collect this week.

I pretty much know the answer to my own question, but would like some input.

I planned to keep back 8-10kg of LR, with a couple of small corals, and put my clown, shrimp and blenny in it. BUT the guy who wants the other stuff wants to come Saturday. If I set this nano up tomorrow, leave and change water daily, do you think its too risky to put the livestock in on Friday?

I can take some of the water from my reef and set the nano up with that, and then when the reef is drained, I could put the external filter on the nano....

If you put in sand and lr from your reef tank it should be fine :good: just do it as quickly as possible without having anything out of the water for more than a couple of minutes :good:

I'm sure you realise that the scooter blenny will not be able to survive on the food he will be able to gather from the Orca - you will need to also set up a pod culture for him (even if he eats frozen as well)

The tank is a bit small on volume to have the clown and blenny - but I am assuming you are an experienced reefer and know that you will really need to keep on top of water change and chemistry :good:
