Heya gang
I am so tickled that my bolbitas heudiloti(sp?)
is doing so fantastic
I nursed it from a couple small rhizomes to the amazing plant I have today.
I am getting ready to split it as soin as I get a nice chunk of wood.

It's a great plant! Glad to see it get some love.

I find if I put mine at the edge of the light, in a flow, it stretches out and grows really well. When it wants to, it can grow quickly, but it's a moody one. I started with one small rhizome in the early 1990s, and it's still going strong in a number of tanks. It's a beautiful plant.

I really like the combo of bolbitus & lily, a nice contrast! Mine tends to be a darker green than your brighter green. Less light & ferts for mine maybe? Or maybe shoved out of the filter return...It just on a small bit of wood.

Mine is on a piece of driftwood.
I keep my lights at 75% for 6-7 hours a day.
It is right below the filter flow
I use Thrive liquid ferts about once a month and plant spikes for the lilly.
How about a pic of yours?
Thanks!! I love the combo too, its turning out nicely after my move in May.
We really loathe moving..lol

I don't a have a smart phone, so pics are very difficult o_O Do you do co2? My club friend I gave some to does & his is bright green like yours is...You're both like better at ferts than I am. I still like bolbitus, but with a little tinge of jealousy, lol.

I hate moving too! We did an east coast to west coast in 2011 & we haven't totally recovered in some ways. I KNOW I had some stuff I've never seen again. Lost? Or just in a box we haven't opened in years? We had co. movers 3 times now & they just stick things in any old place that it fits. An in-town move we did ourselves (once) was not as bad. I hate buying stuff I already should have had already. We may have 1 more move but not soon.

Thats a brutal move..eeepp
I do not use Co2 but I do have a ton of shrimp in there that keep my plants spotless

Ah, thanks.

Shrimp don't do well for me here. Too soft of water? I don't know, but I'm not going to try them again until I learn why. I'm on 3 or 4 tries & out...
