african or N.W cichlids?

hey hey hey! first of all i didnt put this topic in African or New World Cichlids cus i dont kno where is the best forum on it so, i was just wondering a while ago when my 29 finish cyclin *give him 1 more month* could i put new world or african cichlids in it? also i have 2 golden angels there...... i guess they are new world right? what could be good tankmates for them only cichlids i want to kno i know the others thanks

other wise i would put mi current fishes that i have in the ten into the 29 *wich one of my female guppy is about to give birth i think shes gettin bigger and bigger* and put a divider in the 10 and put 2 bettas


what do you think? all suggestions are appreciate it

werent new world? oh well got wrong but if they die im lookin foward to see about them cuz theyare delicate and maybe dont do it all the way till it finish or after it

just that i hope they dont die but just to be informed about them (cichlidsn.w or a. )and the tank size was my main doubt

If you were looking to keep another NW cichlid with your angels, one of my favorites are keyhole cichlids.

aww thanx!! i'll get some when its finish cycling also they can be kept with bettas (1 male i kno so if i ever come up with the betta before the tank for it i can keep it in there till i have a tank for him thanx thanx

I was told not to keep bettas with angels. I wouldnt risk it.

Here are some ideas for cookie cutter setups for your sized tanks. There are both New World and African setups. One of the links is for a 20 gallon long, but the setup will work for your tank also.

Notice on the first link, there is a setup for angels. You might try that one.

In regards to African cichlids- Check out the fish in my sig. They all live happily together in my 29 gallon.

Yup. 1 or 2 Keyholes, Rams, or Apistogramma.

That about all I would add to that particular 29g.

Oh, and keep an eye on the neons. They may start "disappearing" as the angels grow.

in the link that snuff gave im guessin in the Victoria & Malawi Combo , Labidochromis caeruleus should be this one ? (yellow)

and the bristle nose pleco this one poor thing is so but so ugly

and ruby green should be this one

and Tanganyika Mini-Community Tank Blu flash should be this one

Tanganicodus irsacae should be this one

and Synodontis petricola should be this one
