African Land Snails

I have been told someone on here can help me but cant remember name. I work at a school and they have 2 ALS they had one lot of eggs, that hatched. We looked on the internet and when they had another batch we destroyed them. Unfortunatley they now have had some more and I have brought 3 of these home with me. Am I right in thinking spray container with water, cuttlefish powdered, lettuce and cucumber? Anything else I need to know? How fast do they grow and is it ok just to dispose of the eggs? Thanks...they are very sweet!
