easy to look after? I hope so... I f i got three soon, would it be ok to just feed them live food every week and frozen food every 2 days???

And the same if i got a betta, would i be ok to feed live food once a week and frozen every 2 days??

Go to the invertebrates forum and theres a very good pinned post about aquatic frogs. they should be ok on frozen but they dont see very well so they might not be able to catch live food.

why not just feed the betta, betta pellets?

ADFs are fond of frozen bloodworm (NOT freeze dried) but you might have to drop it in front of them with a pipette cos they dont see too well.

Maybe it's just my ADFs but I have to question the repeated knocking of their eyesight. I can drop food in the other side of a 20 gallon long tank, and they find it within minutes. maybe their sense of sight is bad, but then their sense of smell must be phenominal. They like to hang out together (I have 6 of them) in a cave, but all come pouring out when I feed them, again, on the other side of the tank. I feed mine every second or third day, and this is fine. Live foods will be great, and frozen is good too. I don't see how live foods would be a problem. Frogs in the wild don't get food (live, frozen or other) dropped right in front of them, they have to hunt for it or they die, just like every other animal. I used to feed mine in a little baby food container, turned sideways, because I believed they would starve otherwise. After a couple feedings I found they ate the fish food that floated around the tank and ignored their food. And the fish pulled the frog's food out of the container. I stopped using the container months ago, and I have never fed them with a baster or anything. I feed my frogs live blackworms every couple of weeks, and they love hunting these little guys. ADFs are grat fun to watch, and don't require a lot of effort.

thanks dan :D is there any specific temp i should keep em at or what?
Also what really is the difference between the ADF and the african clawed frog, is it the size.... ADFs grow to like 1.5 inches dont they?

african clawed frogs grow very large and will eat any fish that fit into their mouths

or were you asking how to tell the difference between them in the lfs?

webbing on the front claws means it's a dwarf. dwarf frogs have eyes on the sides of their heads while the ACFs have their eyes on top. and if it's albino, it's definitely Clawed, cos you dont see albino dwarfs.
