I want to get an african dwarf frog so it wont be so lonely and bored
i just want to know if besides the frog, do i need to buy anything special for it
like extra food, more gravel, etc
thanks

oo pretty pretty fishie hehe  blue and pretty fins ^^, i thot about that before but my tank was just 1 g, so i just bought another betta and put the 2 bowls besides each other, you ken try a snail or some ghost shrimp xp if your bowl is small like mine, anyways nice picx, i ken never get a pic like that -_-

i dun thinks so, more gravel -> the harder it is to clean =/ all the poop and food get stuck there xp n just buy pellets [rarely eat flakes] n some [bloodworms, brine shrimp etc.] <- i suggest no freeze-dried xp they'll eat it but its bad for them, if no live then frozen + ive heard betta love zucchini , i still have to try that myself xp

I wouldn't advise putting a frog with a betta in a tank that small- it is only 0.5 gallons. :/

However, to answer your question: If you had an appropriately sized tank (at least 2 gallons IMO) and wanted to keep a betta and an ADF...

The frog will need food rich in protein. Bloodworms and brine shrimp (frozen, preferably) are a good supplement to pellets specially formulated for amphibs. They don't need any more gravel than bettas, but the gravel will need to be smooth so that the frog doesn't get hurt. Make sure there is nothing for the little frog to get stuck in, such as a filter. Inchworm started a very informative thread about frogs here.

I guess its ok... I used to have 3 but they kept on burying themselves in the gravel! or did SOMEONE push them in lol :grr:
