How active are they? In the store my frog swam around nonstop but when I put him in my tank he just hides in the decorative castle all of the time and never comes out! Maybe he is enjoying the new hiding spots? (The tank in the store had absolutely NOTHING to hide in.) I've had him for a week now.

well dont take out their new hiding spot lol their probably just checking things out, if they don't seem as active in a week i would maybe start taking a few things out.

Same as my mum's ADF i bought him on Sunday and he hardly ever comes out unless he smells the bloodworms! Think they just need time 2 settle in as i bought my ADF a couple of months ago now and he is always out and about.

Hi i see you have pink danio's, we have some too. but i cant find any imformation on them. do u know much about them?

sorry tried to quote your fish spec but not sure how to use this properly yet.

cheers

I dont actually no. I just thought they were the same as neon's really just more active and love 2 swim alot so you need a big tank for them! Mine dart about everywhere. I dont know if they are rare or not, but i have only seen them in one shop in essex which is about 2 hours away from me!

i have never seen them either, i found them in a fish place in knaphill. they are bright pink with really long fins and tails, really pretty they look like danios tho. was wondering how to tell male and female apart? they said in the shop they were rare?

Yeah thats true they do have long fins and tails. They are really pretty, give the tank some colour dont they. I havent got a clue how to tell if they are male and female, they have stripes and dots dont they, maybe you can tell by them i dunno sorry

Found this.....

GloFish glow! They are transgenic zebra danios that have been genetically modified to produce a fluorescent pink glow. Created by the National University of Singapore, GloFish have an extra Red Fluorescent Protein gene inserted into their genome from a coral which makes them emit a rosy, pink glow all the time.

Can not find anything on them, any1 else help us?

When I first got mine he acted like he was dead laying on the floor of the tank unless it was feeding time. I have had him about 8 months now and he is everywhere. Give him a few weeks he will perk up. Sometimes they hide for a while when you add new fish too.
