I've been a member for some time and I think it's time to share some photo's of my tank.

As you can see from the photo's, I have afew other types of fish living happily in the tank as well.

Wow, that quite an interesting mix :p

Thanks. The tank started life as a general tropical tank.

About a year ago I lost quite a few fish so decided to go chchlids mainly to add colour.

The non-cichlids are what I have left and have stayed with the cichlids since.

Fish look healthy :good:

Must be to do with the garlic food i feed them :)

What is the stock list? Did I see an eel too?

left overs from my last setup

1x platty
2x female mollies and 1x male molly
2x Rope fish (I've had them for years and never seem to grow)
1x tyre tack eel. again had him/she for a long time
2x small eels of some kind. Again had them for a while
1x gerarmi (spelling) bluish colour . Damn thing is so old and should have kicked the bucket years ago.
1x Common plec and 1x white plec. My very first fish (6 years now)
3x feather fin cats (had them 6 years too however i want to give them away)
2x Talking catfish. I have had these 3 years and never see them so I am thinking about giving them away

Added between 6 to 12 months ago as I decided I needed colour.

12x yellow lab
3x un-know blue cichlids
3x another type of un-known blue cichlids
2x blue cichlids with yellow fins
4x Sev's. The yellow one passed away :-(

the one that is blue and has a yellow tail is called a yellow tail acei
the blue ones w/ vertical stripes are kenyis

Interesting fish mix, just watch aggression!

I think I saw a fire mouth running around in there. Very interesting mix. Most say to not mix new world and old world cichlids but you seem to be doing fine. How long have you had this setup with the cichlids?

For further info the yellow tail acei is pseudotropheus acei, and the kenyi is metriaclima lombardoi.

Definitely an interesting mix, but as the saying goes, if it ain't broke don't fix it. :good:
