Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.

Surely when keeping any animal, you'd want to keep it in the safest environment possible?

but, whatever.

Btw - nice fish.

You as per usual missed the point..your statement was

its a gift anyway so no loss if it goes wrong
to me that says "meh if it dies dont matter as it was free. The point that obviously passed straight through your ears was that it seemed you didnt give a damn if it dies or not. If it was just your poor phrasing of what you said fine. But if not then im well within my own opinion to put what i did.

In the wild yes im totally aware fish die, but the point of keeping fish is to improve their chance of survival, not lower it. Maybe you should type a post in the forum then READ it back and think, does that make sense or will people mis interpret what im trying to say?

what other good deeds are you going to do today help and old lady accross the road

how many fish have died on me or got killed in my tank over the last few years eeerrm let me think NONE

i had a aro that was getting beat up bad last week and as much as i liked it i thought it in the best intrest of the fish to sell it which i did

you are jokers with your holyer than thou approach to fishkeeping

Oh dear this is pathetic, of course he's going to look after it you just selected a part of his post and twisted it to look like he's bad. Look above that part and he says that he's giving it a go, therefore trying to keep it alive.

The fact that it was a gift does make a difference because when a fish cost multiple hundreds or even thousand of £/$ then losing that much money does play a big part and so influences what risks you take. A 50p guppy has more sentimental value than anything else, but with very expensive fish it could go the other way.

Let's face it, this fish is in the best hands with T1K so quit trying to make an argument out of nothing.

Anyway, that's a stunning fish you've got there T1K, and looks really cool from the vids as well, do they 'naturally' eat off the bottom more than the true aros?

Tbh, i value the life of my £80 snake just as much as i value the life of my free mice, or my £1 shrimp.

Are you really that ignorant that you cant see what you posted was essentially wrong? It has nothing to do with how many have died, how many you keep, what you keep, how much you paid for anything. It was your poor use of the English language that made more than one person mis interpret what you had said.

uhm....time to up the dosage i think!

I have no idea where you get these statements from...not at any point did i say your fish keeping was bad, what i did say (as previosuly mentioned) was that your statement "its a gift anyway so no loss if it goes wrong" implied/insinuated that if it did get beaten up, injured that it wouldnt matter as it cost you nothing.

Now that statement is not something anyone should say imo. Also you then began to go off on a random tangent about wild fish being eaten etc...which again is rather odd but never the less, my point was about the above statement nothing else.

so "mate" i would suggest (again as previously mentioned) you should read over your posts and others prior to opening your mouth and letting your belly rumble :)

Just becuase you have loads of cash and a huge tank doesnt mean you know it all and that you can't make mistakes, or stupid comments.

and on that note im backing out as you obviously cant realise what you origianlly put was easily misconstrued.
