Hi everyone...as you know I am planning on breeding my Black/Yellow HM PK pair...and before I started I wanted some advice from all you hot shot breeders out there...I have attempted breeding before and it seemed to go just as planned...infact it was story book perfect...until it came to the actual spawn part....So...was just wondering what if anything can I do to...I dont wanna say ensure my chances but more or less increase my chances of a successful spawn? Thanks in advance!

I don't know much about breeding, but I'm just you'll get the advice you need. so all I can do is wish you luck. Hope things are perfect all the way through this time!

Only advice I can give- be patient, cover the tank and don't peek too much. Once or twice a day tops. The best thing you can do is cover the tank leaving yourself a peek hole towards the bottom, this way they won't notice you peeking in (right away), but believe me, even with the tiniest peek crack the male will notice you .

Thanks wuv... :) Next week or so I will probably try and set the tank up and try again! hopefully all will go well...one last question how long is to long to keep them in there together?

Provided they are getting along fine, you can keep them together as long as need be. Sometimes it takes up to 4-5 days before they even get in the mood. I've found that if they've been together for a few days and nothing is happening- a quick water change should remedy that. If the male has a nest just be careful not to destroy it. Keep feeding them regularly as well. They'll do it when they're ready :)
