I have a 35 gallon fish tank and 3 fish that I've had for many years. I'm moving in a few weeks and would prefer to get out of the fish owning business. But I obviously can't just throw out my fish. One fish I've had for 10 years. I've tried craigslist, to give the fish away for free, but no takers. I more care about someone just taking my fish into a good new home. I don't really care if I have to throw my tank away necessarily, but I'd rather keep it so that maybe someone would take it as a package deal (for free).

Any advice? Thanks.

where abut are you, someone might live close

Aquarist classified is your best bet, though if we have a bit more info (location, species of fish) you might well find someone on here that will take them.

here is awesome!

It sure is; I'll take them if they're close enough :)

Edit; as long as it's not a red tailed catfish or something like that anyway!

There's always somebody that lives near or is willing to travel on here, just list it in the classified section.

Thanks. I haven't tried any of those sites mentioned yet.

I live in Philadelphia. 2 fish are blood parrots, they are about 3-4 inches long, and about 4 years old. And my old-timer, a clown loach, about 4 inches long, named Kenny. I've had him since I bought this tank around 1998 or 1999.

Is there a classified section on these forums? I couldn't find it.

Thanks again.

That is incorrect, that is the marine classified section. Here is the freshwater classified section.

The link in Carlovel1's above post is correct.

Ah...crossing the Atlantic might just be a little bit too far for me! Best of luck, fred; I'm sure you'll find someone to take them.

"Collection only"

Sure, I'll be round tomorrow evening.
