Yes I suppose so, but the last thing i need is breeding pairs of territorial cichlids, too many long finned fish!

Well they have eaten all of the eggs.
 
I had come to expect this anyhow. The new tank is coming along and I should be able to move some fish in there shortly.

It's very common for inexperienced fish to eat their first few batches of eggs, don'y worry!
 
If you give them enough time (ie, don't keep taking the eggs away from them) they'll get the hang of it eventually.
