Advice About Fire Eels Please

Here is my big fire eel. Measures in at almost 3ft and can only just fit up a 5" waste pipe due to its girth!!

I have ruby barbs, fillament barbs, trifasciatus rainbow, porthole rasboras, morgunda adspersa and a robertsoni cichlid in with mine no problem.
