I just adopted some well, 2 baby convicts, but i was wondering if they needed there own tank or can i try and put them into my 55. I know they are aggresive but i dont want to run out of room in any of my other tanks in case i need another hospital tank or whatnot. Please let me know.

Thanks

They will eventually kill your mollies and swordtails. All of them.

My female con when i had her in my 65 gal community. would terrorize my RTB who was at least twice the size of her....Mollies and swords wont last with them..

I refute your claim pertaining to all of her Molllies will be eaten.
Wiht my experience Convictsdo not think of them as threats and dont even bother with them. Even during spawning they will just nudge away ever so gently at most.

I would like to see that. The 3 different pairs I have kept killed anything in the tank, especially when breeding. The regularly went head to head with a 10" texas cichlid i had when the started breeding.

i'm with impur, i want to see that one also. convicts will fight to the death to protect their fry. gently nudge? mine go head to head with red devils and dempseys to keep them away.
